Simbo can produce exhilarating performances for your private party or corporate event. He is available to travel anywhere to share his culture with those interested in experiencing it! Simbo collaborates with other dancers and musicians wearing authentic, traditional costumes creating a fantastic, vibrant occasion for all to enjoy.


In the late 1980’s Simbo began performing with the ballets Soleil d’Afrique and Ballet Commune de Matam. In 1990 he joined Ballet Farreta de Guinee where he was a soloist for eight years. In October 1998 he was invited to join the National Ballet Djoliba where he was a soloist for five years. From 2001-early 2006 Simbo was a principal dancer with Guinea’s other acclaimed National Ballet, Les Ballets Africains de Guinee. With Ballets Africains Simbo toured throughout Northern and Western Africa with the ballet “Evolution”.

Simbo has performed in a variety of Guinean music videos with such stars as Fode Kouyate and Johanna Barry. In 2006 Simbo performed in Montreal, Canada at the Festival International Nuits d’Afrique with Prince Diabate, a celebrated kora player from Guinea. In 2007 and 2008 he performed in Ottawa, Ontario with Mohammed Diarra and Le Cobra du Mandigue. He has also a guest artist with Likewater Drum and Dance at the Wheatland Music Festival in Michigan as well as Drum Cafe in Georgia and Florida.


Simbo often performs as a guest artist with other companies. His dance and drum troupe, Africa Djolie, is also available to perform for your function. Africa Djolie is comprised of West African and American artists. Their high energy performances showcase the traditional dances and rhythms from West Africa.
